Roses are red, Violets are blue

We got married without you.

Greg & Diana Eloped on Valentine’s Day!

Well, we did it. Finally.

We want to announce to our friends and family that we are Mr. & Mrs. Cooper. Finally! We married at Marshall’s Beach in San Francisco, near the Golden Gate Bridge.

We rented our outfits from the American Conservatory Theater costume rental shop. So, these outfits were worn in a stage play somewhere at some point. Diana’s dress was on Broadway, but the staff was uncertain what play it was in. Pretty cool, right? Our friends, Dan & Lora Curran, officiated the wedding, and we had our event photographed by Lauren Colman.

It was lovely and fun to get married on Valentine’s Day. We’re happy to share a little about the day, our photos, and a little bit about our story below. We hope to see you in person soon.

Some images from Marshall's Beach in San Francisco.

Here’s the photos from our Valentine’s Day.

Our Story & Our "Life Overlaps"

Here’s a couple of fun stories and overlaps in our lives, that we like to share.

Diana and Greg both were born in San Francisco.

Greg at Kaiser on Geary Ave. in SF.  Diana at Mt. Zion Hospital on Divisadero & Post in SF

(About 3 blocks apart. How cool is that? We’ll call it a “life overlap“.)

Both of us grew up in Pacifica, CA. A beach town just south of SF.

Greg grew in the Park Pacifica/ Linda Mar Neighborhood. Which is considered the south end of town. Diana grew up in the Fairmont neighborhood, which is the most northern part of town. We didn’t know each other growing up as it’s a big town. Greg eventually moved “over the hill” and went to Mills High School in Millbrae, CA. Diana went to Oceana H.S. in Pacifica.

(Hmm, that’s strange. That’s Live Overlap #2)

Here’s another one.

Diana’s childhood home in the Fairmont neighborhood, was about 4 blocks away from Greg’s Father’s Fire Department that he was stationed at.

( Ok. That’s Live Overlap #3. What is going on here… )

Diana’s parents moved to Yorkville, CA in Mendocino County. She spent a lot of time on the Mendocino Coast hanging out, and camping at Van Damme State Park.

This state park is located directly below Greg’s Grandparent’s house they built in 1970 in Little River CA, where Greg spent many summers there.

( Weird. right? Life overlap #4 )

( Life overlap #5 )
We eventually met while working at the Home Depot of San Carlos in the  the Kitchen Cabinet Department. This was in early 1990’s.
Diana was going to Canada College completing her degree in Kitchen & Bath Design, and Greg also went to Canada college for a time.

Home Depot was a good job in where we met many friends that we still see today. We say we “dated for a time” while at Home Depot. But, alas… it didn’t last, and this was around mid-90’s

The Second Time Around

The Catalyst Club. Santa Cruz, CA
Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party. October 3rd 2007.

Diana & Greg literally bumped into each other again at this concert, after another encounter a couple years before.
Greg was living in Santa Cruz at the time, and Diana was talked into going to this show, by a friend, and almost didn’t go.

We reconnected shortly thereafter.

WooHoo!

Here we are. The Coopers. Finally

So, after a whole bunch of missed connections, crossed paths and something telling us to be together. After 17 years we made it right.
We hope to see you in person in our lovely place up in Santa Rosa, CA in beautiful Sonoma County sometime soon.

Thanks,
Greg & Diana Cooper
